Medications are closely monitored to be sure that they meet the customer’s evolving needs. We have relationships with specialists able to treat the many conditions associated with our aging population.
Medical Specialties: In addition to providing daily care from our staff of skilled Registered Nurses (RNs), Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs), Licensed Practicing Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and therapists, we provide access to dentists, psychologists, social workers, podiatrists and other healthcare practitioners on an as needed basis. No aspect of care is overlooked in our Centers.
Nutrition directly impacts physical well-being, therefore we closely manage customer’s dietary needs. Our meals are planned by on-staff nutritionists and dieticians who ably design meals that meet the customers individual dietary requirements. We document food intake and weight so we remain alert to the changing nutritional needs inherent in the aging process. We modify meal plans not only to keep our customers happy, but also to keep them healthy.
We don’t neglect the social elements of care. Our Recreation Department designs interactive recreation that keeps customers as stimulated as is appropriate for their unique conditions.
Our therapies are among the best in the industry. Customers in need of these services receive the appropriate treatments delivered by licensed experts.
Care planning is a well-synchronized process handled under the careful supervision of our medical staff. From the initial Care Plan Meeting to all subsequent care planning interventions, this process does not happen in isolation. Customers who are able are encouraged to partner in their care planning. Families are intimately involved in care planning as well. Every Opis customer has a voice in how their care is managed.
