Operation Summary

Opis Management Resources, LLC. manages and operates skilled nursing centers in the state of Florida.

The Company is led by Marilyn G. Wood, RN, NHA, who has worked in increasingly higher levels of management in the long term care profession for over 35 years.

Our approach of centralizing the management of marketing and census, billing and collections, and recruitment and training of staff have allowed us to achieve the following:

• Average daily Medicare census is over 16% of total occupancy,
• Days in A/R outstanding is 35 days,
• Elimination of nursing agency utilization,
• Overall turnover rates below 40% (industry average is 100%), and
• Reduction by 50% in costs for recruitment advertising and elimination of recruiters’ fees.

The state of Florida offers one of the most difficult environments in which to operate nursing centers. Nursing centers in Florida can be exposed to patient lawsuits at rates significantly in excess of what is experienced in other states.  The state’s Agency for Health Care Administration closely regulates nursing centers in Florida in what can be an arbitrary and politicized process. Marilyn Wood and her clinical team have significant experience and a track record of success working with officials at all levels of the state’s Agency for Health Care Administration.

We are one of the only long term care companies in Florida to employ a full time Physician to oversee and manage all of our facility Medical Director relationships.
