On Wednesday, Sept 30, 2009 Marilyn Wood traveled to Miami to join a number of FHCA members for a meeting with Governor Charlie Crist. FHCA Secretary Scott Bell, Member at Large Joe Mitchell, and Past Presidents Kelley Rice-Schild and Dion Sena were among the many providers who were on hand. This was a great opportunity to discuss with the Governor not only our state issues, but also our concerns over the federal Medicare cuts so he can gain a better understanding of how the cuts contained in health care reform could impact resident quality care and long term care jobs here at home.
