Indian River Customer Recognized Worldwide 7/27/2009
This week, Indian River Center in West Melbourne has been receiving some tremendously positive press surrounding their resident, Stanley Colson, who worked for Boeing and helped develop the first stage of the rocket that sent Americans to the Moon. With this being the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, administrator Randy Blue said they have had a number of media outlets, including TV crews and the BBC, visiting the facility to interview Stanley about this incredible experience. In addition, retired Apollo astronaut Tom Stafford, who served as commander for the Apollo 10 mission, visited with Stanley on Thursday.
