Gilbert Rogers
Director of Property Management
Since joining Opis in 2005 as the Director of Property Management and Environmental Services, Gilbert (Bert) Rogers is responsible for the overall property maintenance of the skilled nursing centers under management of Opis. This role includes the maintenance, renovating, and construction of both internal and external physical components.
Bert also assists in the preparation and control of all Center and Corporate capital budgets, as well as routine expense control. He collaborates with the Nursing Home Administrator in supervision of the Property Manager based at each center.
After serving in the United States Air Force, Gilbert began his career in the health care industry in 1976 as the Director of Engineering for Humana Health Care. During his employment with Humana, he served at several regional hospitals in the Mid and Southeast states. Gilbert has also held positions in the construction industry as a project manager for a general contractor, and as the Director of Purchasing for a national corporation.
