Company History
The word “Opis” comes from the Greek language. It means to care or caring.
Marilyn Wood, NHA, RN and Rob Rabil, CFO saw the need to change the face of eldercare in Florida by creating a company committed to people first.
And that is why the company was founded---to provide a caring and safe environment for our elders and those in need of rehabilitative services. Opis Management Resources was founded in late 2003 by a team of devoted and experienced elder care experts. Marilyn Wood, NHA, RN and the late Rob Rabil, CFO saw the need to change the face of eldercare in Florida by creating a company committed to people first.
The Opis founders set out to craft a clear Mission that addresses the core values that make the company unique. Those values are dignity, respect, ethics and highest standards of care and service. Since founding the company they have built systems that synchronize their approach to eldercare.
Three out of the ten skilled nursing centers have been awarded the prestigious Gold Seal Awards bestowed by the State of Florida. These awards are confirmation that the Opis approach to eldercare makes a positive, noticeable difference. The company also made significant strides to refine its processes by implementing services such as futuristic technological Pharmacy services. This enables Opis to apply its stringent quality standards to almost every element of the operation that impacts customer care.
